13-Week Cash
Forecast vs actual, every week — ending cash, min-cash week, and an owner for every miss.
Illustrative AU training / safety services sample until you enter your actuals. Direct-method cash only — cash receipts and disbursements, not P&L accruals. Not financial advice.
Monday ritual in 4 steps
- Enter actuals for the closed week
- Read variance $ and %
- Assign owner + type (timing · structural · one-off)
- Roll forward — drop week 1, add week 13
1. Setup
Opening bank anchor, week start, min-cash policy, BAS (Business Activity Statement) cycle, payroll. Persist locally only.
2. Enter lines
Top-N AR + tail curve, then other receipts and disbursements by category. Progressive — open what you need.
Stretch v1.5 (placeholder): collection curve from aging buckets · scenario toggle (base / tight / loose) · covenant one-pager · multi-entity — not in this build.
3. Dashboard
Ending-cash path, min-cash week, and the 13-week board. Opening week 1 is your bank actual.
How this is calculated
- EndingCash[w] = OpeningCash[w] + Receipts[w] − Disbursements[w]
- OpeningCash[1] = bank actual (anchor). Later openings follow prior ending on the forecast path only.
- MinCashWeek = week with lowest ending cash
- AR week ≈ Σ(top-N scheduled) + TailBalance × curve%[w]
- Variance$ = Actual − Forecast; Variance% guards ÷0
